A coil designed for high-voltage generators and capacitive wireless power transfer

The KTL-CC1 is a leading edge compact coil. It is designed to exhibit very high Q-factors when associated to a capacitive load with very low capacitance values. Said otherwise the KTL-CC1 coil enables to obtain large over-voltages without involving large reactive power levels and large energy stored in capacitors. To obtain such a result the coil is optimized in many ways: The Litz type wire used for the winding is made of very thin strands of high quality copper, both segments and layers are separated by high-quality PTFE materials, the central core is made with a leading edge ferrite material with a large thermal range.

The central gap can be adjusted according to needs.

Typical performances

The low level Q-factors are above 600 for a frequency ranging from 50kHz up to 200kHz according to gap and external serial capacitance value (as low as 10pF). 

Possible applications

Secure high-voltage very efficient generators, capacitive sensors and wireless power transfer devices.
