Safe diode multiplier with integrated bridge divider for output voltage measurement  

KTL-HVM1 is a compact diode multiplier that provides a DC output voltage of up to 20kV and a max output power limited to 4W due to a very large ouput resistance of 47 MOhms. The KTL-HVM1 also provides an embedded x1000  allowing to measure the output voltage through a common voltmeter. This multipurpose tool can be used combined to our KTL-CG1 High-Voltage AC generator to make a large variety of electrostatic experiments.

The KTL-HVM1 diode multiplier exists in two versions according to the output voltage sign. The standard version as a positive output. Please contact us if a negative output is required.

Please note that you may connect a positive ouput and an negative ouput multipliers to the same generator allowing to produce a symetric voltage difference relative to ground of up to 40kV. If you need to adjust separately the positive and negative voltage you should use one KTL-CG1 High-Voltage AC generator for each polarity.

Warning notice:

Although the output voltage could be very large, this module do not present any health issues as the output impedance is very large and the energy stored in the output capacitance extremely small. However,  if the user touches persistently the high-voltage output while power is turned on, slight skin burnings could be obtained. For similar reason, one must avoid using flammable products in the vicinity of the high-voltage terminals.
